Specialist in Special Care Dentistry
Balqees graduated from the University of Birmingham with a clinical distinction in 1996 and has worked in both NHS and private general dental practice, the hospital dental services and is now in the community dental service. Balqees has a special interest in law relevant to special care dentistry and the management of complex patients with additional needs requiring dental treatment under General Anaesthesia. She has served as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for the Tricollegiate examination in special care dentistry. She has been a faculty trainer for the Royal College Advanced Certificate in Clinical Education Course for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Balqees is an elected member on the BDA England Community Dental Services Committee.
