Jacob Lant
Head of Policy and Research, Healthwatch England
Jacob has been part of the Healthwatch network since its launch in 2013, and has been leading Healthwatch England’s Policy and Research functions since 2015.
He is a committed believer in using feedback from people receiving care to improve services, and has led the Healthwatch network in shaping national health policy on everything from A&E waiting times to improving the mental health support for new mums and dads. Over the last 18 months in particular he has overseen extensive reporting in to how the pandemic has affected peoples access to and experiences of NHS Dentistry, and he is currently part of NHS England’s advisory group on dental system reform.
