Dr Omo Okonkwo BMed Sc (BHAM), BDS (BHAM) MJDF RCSEng DRD RCSEng

Dr Omo Okonkwo qualified at the prestigious Birmingham University in 2005. She went on to win Vocational Training of Year for her outstanding Restorative Dental Case. She has a particular interest in Prosthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. She currently works as an Associate Dentist in a Private Clinic and runs her Coaching Practice focused on Leadership training/coaching for healthcare professionals. 

Omo has strived for self-improvement throughout her career and completed further education in several specialist fields, training extensively in the UK, Europe, and the USA. In pursuit of clinical excellence and precision dentistry, Omo has gained her Membership of Joint Dental Faculty and Diploma in Restorative Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons. 

Outside dentistry, Omo has a passion for leading and influencing change within healthcare. To this end, Omo was appointed Clinical Lead at Kings College Dental School and Director of Health Care Services for a multinational company. Her desire to continuously improve staff and patient care within organisations led her to obtain a Diploma in Transformational Coaching. She then embarked on Executive Master’s in business administration (MBA) at the esteemed Warwick University Business School. Diving into this field sparked her interest in Organisation Behaviour, in particular Leadership development. Thus, as part of her MBA thesis, Omo interviewed medical and dental Clinical leaders to explore ‘The Role of Gender Plays in Clinical Leadership’. Her research findings and extensive coaching experience allows her to empower female healthcare professionals to navigate their clinical expert to clinical leader successfully.
