Dental Clinical Fellow at the Office of the Chief Dental Officer, England
Following on from her appointment in 2020 as the first Welsh Clinical Leadership Fellow in Sustainable Healthcare, Amarantha is an associate at the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare (CSH). Amarantha fully appreciates the important contribution that sustainability in healthcare can make in tackling the global climate and health crises. She has been working on international efforts concerning nitrous oxide mitigation, as well as engaging and embedding sustainability within quality improvement training. Amarantha co-authored the Sustainable Dentistry course offered by CSH and also contributed to the first textbook on the subject matter. She is a co-founder of Green Health Wales, a national grassroots initiative looking to connect, inspire and empower people in healthcare across Wales to tackle healthcare’s impact on the planet. Amarantha jointly organised and hosted the conference which launched the network in June 2021.
