Beatriz began her studies at Barcelona University (Spain) and soon started developing a special interest in Oral Surgery. She completed a postgraduate course in the field, focused on the removal of impacted wisdom teeth. After moving to England in 2010, Beatriz enrolled in her first formal postgraduate Implant course, in the UCL Eastman Dental Institute (PG Dip), London. Once finished, she wanted to continue studying and gaining experience leading to her joining the University of Central Lancashire MSc which she completed in 2017.
She has been placing implants since 2015, and she now dedicates 2 days a week exclusively to dental implants, placing around 175 implants a year. She feels confident in different scenarios and provides a level of straightforward, advanced, and complex implant surgery including extensive grafting cases, sinus elevation, multiple implant placement, and all aspects of minor oral surgery. She is experienced in digital workflow, as well as the use of CBCT as gold standard to digital case planning.
Beatriz has been involved in different formative programmes as a student meaning she is aware of the learners’ necessities and can talk from a very close perspective to the students’ views. She has also been involved in teaching and lecturing at different levels both in practical and theoretical fields, from being an assistant teacher at the University of Barcelona to being awarded in national level congresses.
She has been part of The Campbell Academy faculty since 2016 and she is heavily involved in teaching, mentoring, and programme content and development.
Her clinical work is now complemented now by 2 days a week into dental implants teaching, and 1 day a month into clinical mentoring.
Apart from dentistry, Beatriz enjoys travelling and cooking, and she is always ready to talk about it! She has a young family which keeps her busy out of work.
