Founder of Sibaba Dental Clinic and END-IOM Project Manager
Dr Nila Jackson is a graduate holding a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Muhimbili University, 2013 and is fully registered by the Medical Council of Tanganyika. Dr Jackson is Tanzanian, working in the northern Mara region from 2014-2020 as an employee at the Musoma Regional Referral Hospital, where he served a Regional Health Administrator. From November 2020 he joined the private sector at his own Sibaba Dental Clinic, based in Musoma Municipal in the Mara region. The unique feature of the Mara region is that it has a limited number of human resources for health, especially dental personnel (there are only 13, both in public and private, serving a total population of 2,391,845 people). Through his clinic Dr Nila is a well-known Dentist in Tanzania, with a volunteering spirit, and he has conducted several voluntary dental outreaches in collaboration with UK dental partners Bridge2Aid, the Tanzania Dental Association and Colgate Palmolive company, to reach out to rural and remote communities with limited access to dental services.
Dr Jackson's trustworthy character and strong interpersonal skills has enabled him to work with multiple partners. In 2018 Dr Nila's voluntary spirit was recognised and he was awarded a certificate of recognition from the Tanzania Dental Association for supporting oral health in Tanzania.
Currently, he is working in collaboration with Bridge2Aid and Global Dental Child Fund to implement the END-IOM project in Tarime District - Mara.
