More Info Purchase CPDThis course aims to promote good clinical practice for the provision of conscious sedation in dentistry that is both safe and effective. It is not intended to be a technical guide for sedation and therefore does not include details of drug doses or delivery.
This course is applicable to all patients receiving conscious sedation to facilitate the provision of any type of dental treatment whether it is delivered in a dental practice, in a public or community dental service clinic or in a hospital setting.
It is based on the latest Standards for Conscious Sedation in the Provision of Dental Care - Report of the Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry 2015.
All staff involved in dental sedation need to undertake 12 hours of relevant CPD in every 5 year cycle.
This course aims to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the current best practice and training requirements for all staff involved with dental sedation.
